I'm Listening With a Broken Ear

I'm Listening With a Broken Ear
Written by Vicky Kaseorg

So let me just start off by saving that I loved this book, it includes so many life lessons and simple things to do to help improve your life. I am also an animal enthusiast and I especially adore dogs, so of course this book stood out to me.

I had one issue with this book, otherwise it was a good (and almost perfect) book. It sort of strayed what I actually thought the book would be about, dogs. In some chapters I found the author rambling on about her life issues at that time, but she kept the information relevant to what she was overall talking about, overcoming difficulties that life throws you.

I would recommend this book to somebody who is a person who likes to ponder about things and get to the true meaning behind things. I must admit, I struggled through the book the first time I read it, but going through the second time, I found more meaning and details that I missed the first time around.

Like I said, I really enjoyed the book and I hope that you guys will give it a chance (It is really cheap on kindle, and there is a free audio on amazon), Comment down below if you have read or are going to read this book.
Let me know what you think of it when you are done!!
Best Wishes and Happy Reading (and Happy Thanksgiving!) Everyone!!!

Weekly Reading

The Ghost Bird Series by C.L. Stone...

Book One: Introductions

This book is about Sang, a girl who leaves her life in the shadows, she doesn't ever talk to friends, can't leavee the house (except for walks in the woods), and basically no contact with the outside world. She gets herself into sticky situation, keeping her new social life and home life seperate... this comes with a hard price and it doesn't end well but she keeps keeping her social life going.

This book is an okay written book, it does seem to drag on in detail and pretty lengthy, but I guess the title does tell you what it is all about. Sang meets the seven guys that hang out and go to a different, private, school. I really enjoyed it the first couple of times and it was an okay read the third time. I would recommend this to any young adults who are looking for an adventure.

Thanks again! Have a great week!!

Percy Jackson Series (Books 1-5)

Hey Guys!

So I just finished reading the whole Percy Jackson series (books 1-5). I finished all five books in a week! I really love Percy Jackson and the writer, Rick Riordan,  and how he really brings the characters to life. I love how each of the main characters gets a fully (or mostly full) development of his or her background. Rick Riordan also writes the story in a very descriptive way so you can tell and see in your mind whats going on.

I really enjoyed reading this series again (for like the fifth time) and it still wasn't boring and I really look forward to starting the Hero's of Olympus Series again (also by Rick Riordan, it goes off the first series). Once you start to read these series you will fall in love with the characters and you won't be able to put the book down.

Pegasus:Olympus at War (Book 2)

Pegasus:Olympus at War (Book 2)
by Kate O'Hearn

So I know I haven't posted in a while and I am sorry. I've started school and it fills up my schedule and I don't really have time to post much.

Okay so this book is really good, this was my second time reading it and it was still fun to read. The story line for this book is about Emily, and her journey to find and rescue her father. Emily travels from Olympus to Earth to a magical Nirad world, where the end of the world or the begining of a new life starts. Since it was my second time reading it, I found myself skimming and skipping parts. I am awaiting for the third book to come to my library. It is a fun and an adventurous story. I would put this as a young adult novel, and would say anyone could read it.

So once I get the third book and read it I will put a review up for it, so give me a week (maybe a week and a half). Thanks for reading my post and comment down below if you have read this book or want to read it.

Thanks for Reading this!

The Tail of Emily Windsnap

The Tail of Emily Windsnap By Liz Kessler

So as you can tell by the title, things in this book may get a little 'fishy'. So overall this book was good, and a great (and friendly) book. Although the author just 'dove' into the story and didn't really develop the characters more (in my opinion) you can relate to them. As you may have already guessed (or still guessing) this book is all about the ocean and Emily, a girl who deiscovers she is half mermaid. If you guys are all ready thinking 'Its not worth reading' think again. the plot of the story thickens as she takes risks and discovers new things.

I would recommend this book to really anyone who wants a fun and easy read. (ages;10+)
I will be offline (unable to blog) all next week) so I will post about another book in 2 weeks.

Thanks for checking out and reading my blog. Comment down below if this book interests you (or if you have already read it). Thanks again.

The Fire Within

The Fire Within by Chris D'Lacey

So let me start out by saying that this was my second time reading this book, and I still think it is amazing!! Chris D'Lacey writes really good. This writing and characters draw you into the story-line and it makes you cling to the book and not put it down. He brings the characters alive by giving each of them a different personality, and lets them create themselves.

Here is a brief summary of the story: David, a college boy, becomes a tenant in the house of the Liz, and Lucy, they open a whole new world to David. Dragons come to life and as trouble brews in nature, David and his special dragon must help find a way to save an injured squirrel. *End of summary*

So overall it was a really great book, even though it was m second time reading it. I would recommend this book to basically anyone who loves a good adventure and suspense.

Comment down below if you have read, or plan to read this book. And when you finish it tell me what you thought about it! Thanks for reading this post.

*NOTE* I will gone for a week so I will be able to post again next Saturday (7/18/15).

Pegasus Books by Kate O'Hearn

Hey Guys! So I just finished reading the 2nd book of the Pegasus books (Pegasus: Olympus at War) by Kate O'Hearn. I will tell you a breif summary of both books, inculding why I liked these first 2 books in the series so far.

**SPOILERS AHEAD**

Book #1
Pegasus: The Flame of Olympus
Olympus is an mythical Greek legend that holds all Olympians. Emily, an ordinary girl from New York City, doesn't believe in myths, certainly not Olympus, but that all changes when Pegasus lands on top of Emily's building, because of injuries that brought him down. Emily goes on an amazing journey with Pegasus, Joel, Diana, and her father to find a girl who is the Flame of Olympus to save Olympus from the invaders who are destroying it. Along the way she and her friends become captured by the CRU and are tortured for information. After escaping they final arrive at Olympus to save it.

Book 1

Book #2
Pegasus: Olympus at War
Upon becoming the Flame of Olympus, Emily struggles to control her powers coming from within. Frustrated about not being able to have rescued her father from the CRU in the previous book she decides to go rescue him. Along the way a hide away Olympian causes trouble and yet manages to help them pull through. Battles are fought, kidnappings take place, and the life of Jupiter at stake, makes this story exciting. It all all works out in the end. (I will post a separate post for the second book later)

Summary of both stories:
I liked this book because of the authors writing style. Kate O'Hearn draws in readers by using suspense and creating memorable characters that will steal your heart and mind. These characters will grow on you and leave you wanting more!! Overall I thought these two books were amazing! The creativity of the books just blows me away. I would seriously recommend this series to anyone! Especially anyone you read the Percy Jackson series and loved it!
